      • SCVO and Glasgow Kelvin College Free Online Digital Inclusion Qualifications

        Glasgow Kelvin College, in partnership with SCVO are delighted to announce the release of these SCQF credit rated courses, designed to support local people get online and take measures to address the digital skills gap in Scotland. This course has been co-designed by representatives and members of SCVO, working with staff from Glasgow Kelvin College. The courses are delivered online and are FREE! There are no entry requirements, other than having a strong interest in digital inclusion.

        Designed for first-time digital users, these resources may also support learners of SQA digital literacy units and qualifications at SCQF levels 3/4.

      • Learn My Way

        Learn My Way is a website of free online courses for beginners, helping you develop digital skills to make the most of the online world.

      • Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award (iDEA)

        The Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award, known as iDEA is an international programme that helps you develop digital, enterprise and employability skills for free.

      • Digital Unite

        We help organisations and their people cascade basic digital skills through our premium Digital Champion learning, training and support. Our Digital Champions Network is a proven foundation for delivering meaningful digital participation.

      • Dyslexia Scotland (via OpenLearn Create)

        Three linked courses written by the Addressing Dyslexia Toolkit and Dyslexia Scotland with the support of the Opening Educational Practices in Scotland Project.  All three courses use the General Teaching Council Scotland’s focus areas identified to support professional learning.

      • GCF Learn

        From Microsoft Office and email, to reading, math, and more - GCFLearnFree.org offers more than 200 topics, including more than 7,000 lessons, more than 1,000 videos, and more than 50 interactives and games, completely free.

      • Khan Academy

        Khan Academy is a non-profit educational organization created in 2008 by Salman Khan with the goal of creating a set of online tools that help educate students.

      • Digital and IT Training

        Curriculum mapped digital and IT resources, created for and by further education and skills practitioners.

      • BBC Bitesize

        Bitesize is the BBC's free online study support resource for school-age students in the United Kingdom. It is designed to aid students in both schoolwork and, for older students, exams.

      • FutureLearn

        We offer a diverse selection of courses from leading universities and cultural institutions from around the world. These are delivered one step at a time, and are accessible on mobile, tablet and desktop, so you can fit learning around your life.

      • Coursera

        Every course on Coursera is taught by top instructors from world-class universities and companies, so you can learn something new anytime, anywhere. Hundreds of free courses give you access to on-demand video lectures, homework exercises, and community discussion forums. Paid courses provide additional quizzes and projects as well as a shareable Course Certificate upon completion.

        Provides assessment, funding and support to full-time and part-time Scottish students in higher education.

      • Individual Training Accounts (ITA)

        Individual Training Accounts are available to help people develop the skills they need for work, giving learners who meet the eligibility criteria up to £200 towards a single training course or training episode per year. And because it’s not a loan, the money doesn’t need to be paid back.
